DAY 1

Begin your journey with a prayer service for safe travels, followed by a comprehensive explanation of the temple’s history and significance. Enjoy a guided tour of the Main Hall and the Great Hall, where you will learn about the temple’s spiritual importance and architectural beauty.

Continue your exploration with a 3-4 hour round-trip walk from Kinpu Shrine to Hokakuji Temple, where you will delve deeper into the practices of Shugendo, a unique spiritual tradition blending elements of Shinto and Buddhism. The knowledgeable Yamabushi will guide you through this experience, offering detailed explanations in Japanese, English, and German, ensuring a rich understanding of this ancient religious practice.
