This cycling tour will have British guide Stephen Gill accompany you through the ancient capital of Asuka. Encounter the nature and history of the ancient capital of Asuka and experience the unique culture of Japanese “rice” with all five senses.
This bicycle tour is designed to awaken your senses. Through your cycling journey, you’ll immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and scents of your surroundings. Experience the essence of nature, culture, and tradition, with a special focus on the importance of rice to Japan. A perfect blend of adventure and sensory exploration.
Meeting at Kintetsu Asuka Station, this tour starts by bicycle in the ancient capital of Asuka. Continuing on to Asakaze Pass, you can enjoy the scenery of the “Inabuchi Rice Terraces”, which has been selected as one of the 100 most beautiful rice terraces in Japan. During this time, British guide Stephen Gill will introduce the various ways locals have historically used and continue to use “rice” in their daily lives, at which point lunch will be served. This tour will satisfy your soul while enjoying the scents and sounds that can only be experienced by a cycling adventure.
