DAY 1

Welcome to Yasaka! Relax in a private historical property

  • Meals: Dinner – Asuka hotpot (traditional local cuisine)
  • Stay: Minshuku Yasaka – Private use historic house

From the moment you step into the inn, you’ll be embraced by its woody and soothing fragrance. Relax in the peaceful privacy of this traditional house, where comfort and tranquility await.
For dinner, indulge in Asuka nabe, a traditional regional hotpot, prepared with the finest local ingredients.

Unwind by the crackling fireplace, share cherished moments with loved ones or friends, enjoy a campfire under the starry sky, or simply refresh your mind and spirit in this serene environment.

DAY 2

Local guided tour and onigiri-making experience

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch – Onigiri making, Dinner
  • Stay: Minshuku Yasaka – Private use historic house

Start your morning breakfast with naturally grown rice, cooked in a Hagama (traditional Japanese rice pot), accompanied by fresh eggs and vegetables sourced from local farmers. Experience the authentic flavours of the region, all in the peaceful surroundings of nature.

Explore Asuka’s stunning nature on a electric bicycle (or car) with an English-speaking guide. Get up close to the region’s rich landscapes, including picturesque rural vistas and ancient burial mounds, for a truly immersive experience.

Experience making your own omusubi (rice ball) for lunch. Omusubi come in a variety of shapes but for the best omusubi, our workshop staff will help guide on how to make the most fluffy and well-rounded rice balls.

In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee on the sunny verandah or spend the day at your leisure before dinner in Asuka village.

 
DAY 3

Last day of the tour – See you again!

  • Meals: Breakfast

Start your day with freshly made bread from Asuka Village Workshop and Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) made from a locally sourced farm eggs.

Enjoy reminiscing and making plans on what to explore next time!
